Sleeping hours are the secret to slowing down aging, and the right ingredients are important in assisting your body’s rejuvenation. At night, our skin is at rest, and it works the hardest between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m.; that is when skin cells are most active. Dr. Grover advocates this nighttime regimen:

Cleanse the skin to remove dirt, makeup, oil and impurities; using one with lactic acid to gently exfoliate.
Apply Retinol to clean and dry the skin
Apply a serum or gel based on your age and skin condition
Moisturize with a hyaluronic acid-rich hydrator. More mature skin may require a rich firming moisturizer as well.
